Trying not to gloat as we run our A/C

Coned red emergency truck

Well, Sara and I thankfully have power in our apartment, but that appears to be simply because we’re on the same circuit as the 23rd ave facing businessess in our building. They’ve got a generator powering them, and I think we’re the happy beneficiaries of that juice.

The rest of the building is fairly dark, and the surrounding area in queens isn’t much better. Sara and I strolled around and took some pictures (and bought what groceries we could) this afternoon.
