To see in NYC this week: Romantico
Mark Becker (husband of my good friend Nadine) directed, shot, produced, and edited the documentary Romantico, which has its theatrical debut in NYC tonight. It will run for a week at the IFC Center.
It’s an engaging portrait of an undocumented Mexican musician living in San Francisco trying to make money to send back to his family, full of great music and gorgeous visuals. It was nominated for the IFP Spirit Award’s Best Documentary of 2005 award.
