Sometimes, the most beautiful things are right at your doorstep.

This amazing giant sunflower is growing in the garden across from the door to our apartment building. It’s at least 10 feet tall and when you look up at it from the street it’s so tall that all you can see is sky behind it and you get this incredible mix of blues, yellows and greens.
Italy wins world cup - people go crazy

The scene outside our apartment has been a madhouse for the past few hours! Italy’s win sparked off a furious ad-hoc driving parade completely with people hanging out of their cars, honking like crazy people and screaming “Viva Italia”.
What’s funny is that after the initial celebration, a second wave tore out and people made the rounds again. This time, they came down our street as well and the revelers worked to stay in that excited post-win hysteria.
The extra cars on the road clogged traffic, so you couldn’t tell if people were honking in excitement or frustration!
As I write this, they’re going at it again, 3 hours later and they’re still honking, screaming, and having a good time. It’s amazing to see this many people united in celebration.
