ffmpeg is a great tool for transcoding video from one format to another. This is a windows GUI for FFMpeg. I’ll be doing some dvd to avi conversions tonight, so this is very useful.

okay… this has got to be a joke. This site is claiming that if 600 million people ji,p in the western hemisphere at the same time, it could extend our orbit ever so slightly and combat global warming. Sounds like an enquirer headline to me.

This weekly updated site tracks gas prices, and shows trends for the past 2 years. If previous years are any indication, we can expect gas to trend downward until mid-july, and then rise markedly until mid november.
